The tradition lives on!  Every year the night before Thanksgiving the Villa Hills Civic Club is the home of a great night of ping pong.  Players are drawn from a pool of members that show up and want to play. There are two tables of action and drink specials during the event. After several rounds there will be a center court tournament that brings the evening to a close.  Registration starts at 7pm and games get under way at 7:30.

The Covington Kenton Lions Club

Dear Friends,

The Covington – Kenton Lions Club has enjoyed a relationship with the Villa Hill Civic Club for more than 15 years.  We have combined to raise money together and you have graciously allowed us to use your facilities many times.  As the holiday season approaches, we are asking for your help.

Many in the Villa Hills community know that each Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Lions are out collecting donations at local grocery stores.  This is a very important fund raising activity each year.  This year we have been told that we can no longer collect at the local grocery stores.  This represents a loss of 3 to 4 thousand dollars of income for our club.

The Covington – Kenton Lions Club provides eye care for 15 to 20 residents in our community each month.  Our current budget provides for 10 to 12 thousand dollars for eye care each year.  Losing the holiday collection represents almost 1/3 of our income per year.

Many of you donate each and every year at our local grocery stores.  We again ask for your support.  Since we won’t be out this holiday season, would you please still remember us?

Please send any donations to:

We are a 501(c)(3) designated organization and can provide any necessary documentation needed.

Please help us help those in need.

Thank you,

Thank you so much to the Villa Hills Civic Club.  Everyone was so supportive and helpful for the Ladies’ Night Out 2008 to raise money and awareness for CheckYourGenes.org.  We want to send a special thank you to Ernie Brown, Dee Samad, and Ed Nutini.  Your time, effort and generosity helped make this Event a Success.  In just 3 short hours we raised $2,000 for CheckYourGenes.org.  It looked like all the Ladies’ enjoyed the evening getting together with friends, and pampering themselves.  We are very proud of the turnout and support!!

 Thank you and Take care,

Nancy Guenther, Jennifer Kidd, and Becky Quigley
